| Offered: Care package from San Diego, California. We've got surfers, of course, and also that world-famous zoo, but have you ever had chili-spiced mangos? Want to know what the heck a fish taco is? Need some postcards and photos for your wall? Maybe a Padres or Chargers hat? Don't forget seashells and flip-flops! I will fill a shoebox with local goodies and send it your way by September 1. It will include wearable items, kitschy souvenirs, newspaper clippings, photographs, and nonperishable local delicacies. You will definitely get a vial of sand and sea water -- great for you inland folks! Also, if you have a fandom that could conceivably lend itself to this, I will write you a short fic about your favorite character(s) visiting San Diego and experiencing the local color. It doesn't matter if this is one of my fandoms as well; I will do the necessary research to accommodate you.

| This month marks the release of my latest poetry collection The Handless Maiden and Other Tales Twice Told from Sam's Dot Publishing. This is a collection of many of my fairy tale and fantasy poems published from 2005 to early 2008 and contains several gorgeous black and white accompanying illustrations by my friend and fellow poet, Marge Simon. A little about me: I've been publishing regularly since 2005 and my fiction and poetry has appeared in several print and online venues including The Magazine of Speculative Poetry, Mythic Delirium, Star*Line, The Seventh Quarry, Reflections Edge, Dreams and Nightmares, Goblin Fruit and Illumen, to name only a few. I've also been nominated for the Spectrum Award, the Rhysling Award (every year since 2006) and the 2008 Bram Stoker Award for my poetry. You can familiarize yourself with my work by visiting my Web site Ars Memoriae. Offer: A copy of the trade paperback book, signed (and personalized if you wish) as well as a handwritten copy of a so far unpublished poem, written on high quality paper and also signed. Please note that I will retain full copyright of the poem and may choose to sell it or publish it in a collection later. If you like, I will also make you a bracelet or set of earrings based on a poem from the collection. Starting Bid: $10 No buy it now price. | |

| Offer: You pick a musical (or play), I'll gather some stuff related to it, put it in a box, and ship it to you, no matter how far from Broadway you are!
The contents of the box will obviously vary somewhat, depending on how obscure the show is, whether or not it's still running, etc etc. If you're interested in, say, two older/more obscure shows instead of one major show (a la Rent, Wicked), we can work that out. Possible items include sheet music, magnets/mugs, Playbills, photos of the theater, and clothing/jewelry. Also included will be some general NYC stuff, both touristy and non, and something homemade, quite likely to be baked goods or hemp jewelry. Size and complexity of package will be proportional to bid. Happy to discuss any preferences or details. :-)
If the bid goes over $40 and the winner picks a show that is either still running or opening soon, I'll include a Playbill signed by at least one main actor (exceptions: Jersey Boys and The Lion King, because tickets are out of my price range). In case it sways your choice, best results will occur with Wicked, Rent, Xanadu, Spring Awakening, Boeing-Boeing, Avenue Q, The Little Mermaid, probably [title of show], and possibly Gypsy.
The one thing I will not do is audio- or video-record a performance of a show. Sorry.
Contact: llyfrgell at gmail dot com
Delivery: Will be mailed by the beginning of September. (Caveat: If the signed-Playbill option is included, delivery will depend on when I can get to the show.)

Contact: notapooka[at]gmail[dot]com
Delivery: Perfume will be mailed by December 31 (probably sooner, but some ingredients are difficult to get a hold of, so if I'm out of something I need for your blend, this gives me time to find it)

| Offer: One handmade collage, featuring your choice of text and simple graphics. Text can be song lyrics, a famous quotation, a line from a book, or anything else you like. Graphics must be simple because I'm really not capable of anything else. Your collage will be made on construction paper, approximately 9 by 12 inches, and painted over with a mixture of water and glue to keep pieces from coming off. An example can be found here*. Contact: insertpseudonym AT yahoo DOT com Delivery: I will have your collage in the mail by September 30th. Minimum Bid: $2 Buy It Now: $10 *The words in this collage are from the song "Your Horoscope for Today," by Weird Al, and the first word in the middle line is "that," which my scanner decided to cut off. | |

| I am officially insane, and so are the other two mods, as they told me I should totally do this when I came up with the idea. So!
The high bidder on this auction will receive a care package made up of items from the storehouse of Yuuko from CLAMP's xxxHolic and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles.
What, exactly, would be in it? That would be telling! However, it may or may not contain: secrets, foodstuffs, exotic perfumes, faded letters, art, mysterious objects with esoteric instructions, photographs, tragic histories, tear-stained diaries, maps of nonexistent places, or any amount of other items.
(The high bidder will be asked to provide information on allergies and phobias, so that the package will be enjoyed instead of feared.)
When will this box of marvels be mailed? By October 1st, as there needs to be time for me Watanuki to rummage through the storehouse and assemble just the right items and label them properly.
MINIMUM BID: $15

| Offer: one handmade bead-embellished metal bookmark, silvertoned metal findings with a hand-carved blue goldstone dangle of a howling wolf. The bookmark itself is an unmarked shiny, hard metal -- judging by similar items I've seen in bead catalogs it's probably silver-plated steel. The bookmark piece is roughly 3.5 inches/9 cm long -- about half the size of my other metal bookmarks, a nice little miniature that's especially well-suited for paperbacks or travel. My camera really doesn't do the wolf bead justice -- there are lots of little fine details carved in that don't show up in the photo, and the stone shimmers with a myriad of tiny violet and coppery-gold flecks. Contact: LiveJournal messaging via profile pageMinimum Bid: $5 USD Buy It Now: $15 USD Delivery: Will be mailed at auction's end, as soon as you send me shipping info. I'm happy to ship outside of the US, but please consider the greater cost of international shipping when bidding... If you'd like this to arrive ready for gift-giving, I'll be happy to put it in a ribbon-tied gift box for a small extra fee -- just let me know the occasion/color scheme you'd like the packaging to suit! | |
